Japan Foundation Kuala Lumpur JFKL in MidValley
Filed in: Travel - Friday, August 7th, 2009 at 10:48 amSome of you may not know that JFKL have moved from Citibank to MidValley. Their library is more spacious in MV compare to last time in Citibank. Interior design is based on Japanese style eg: tatami mat at one corner where you can read your Manga / Comic books.
Environment in this library is very relaxing with sitting sofa, there are English books too, Hiragana and Katakana for beginners to advanced level, internet access, video/tape for viewing and listening, thestar newspapers,Malay mail and NST, japanese magazines eg: cookbook, fashion,beauty,business. If you need to rent out their books, you have to become a member. Enquire with them on the registration to become a member. For non-members, if you like to read newspaper during your working lunch time or want to browse through their magazines, you’re welcome too.
For kids and teenagers, you can enjoy your manga reading on the tatami mat. Lots of Manga comics which is translated into English.
Toilet for female and male are available inside the library too!

Very comfortable sofa. You can just sit there and fall asleep. Just kidding. Not allow to sleep inside any library
Magazine area. Recipes, japanese cooking, sushi, japanese dishes, fashion, pretty japanese girls in this colorful magazines
I like the curtain. Look so like japanese style!
